About Tad Buchoz:

As a former competitive surfer, Tad has traveled the world in search of the biggest waves. But even the planet’s biggest and most daunting waves didn’t hold a candle to the tragedy that hit his family with tidal force, transforming their lives dramatically. When a freak accident caused his daughter to became paralyzed and wheelchair bound, Tad says he was changed in ways that he never could have imagined. “My wife and I experienced, first hand, how critical health issues can fundamentally impact a family’s way of life – emotionally, physically and financially.” Things didn't come easy for Tad.  But his determination led him to become an expert in his field as he continued to grow his knowledge and stay informed on the latest and innovative solutions offered in the industry.

Leaving behind successful prior careers in the mortgage and automotive industries, Tad has found greater satisfaction in the field of health, life and retirement planning.  His family’s very personal experience informs his approach to his work.  Even through the turmoil of the country's ongoing health care issues, the worries of outliving your money, Tad maintains a focus on cutting through the clutter so that families can choose the right plans and path. “We work to simplify the process and help clients sift through the information to find what’s really important.”

Tad enjoys building relationships and solving problems for his clients through a collaborative working style that has made him a key advisor for many high net worth individuals and their families.  He takes a holistic approach to helping clients complete their financial picture by protecting their assets.  He does so by working alongside his team of advisors, including CPA’s, wealth managers, trust and estate planning attorneys to ensure that clients have coverage gaps.

Currently, Tad is directly involved with many aspects of the insurance, annuity and investment business including sales, customer service, marketing and leadership.

Today, Tad takes pride in his daughter’s accomplishments in the face of adversity. As a graduate from the University of Southern California and an inspirational speaker, she works hard to show that physical disabilities do not define what we can achieve with hard work and perseverance. With this thought in mind, she strives to one day walk again.

Tad leads a active, healthy lifestyle.  He continues to enjoy surfing in his free time and has surfed in countries including Fiji, Tahiti, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Nicaragua.  Tad also enjoys reading and spending time with his two daughters and wife of 30 years Nancy and of course, his dogs too!   He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
