Over the last 24 hours I have received many inquiries about what is going to happen to our current health insurance now that Donald Trump has won the election.
I understand there will be a lot of chatter in the media about this and Obamacare in the weeks and months to come, but here are the three important things you need to know now for 2017:
1. Your coverage will remain intact for 2017.
2. Your financial assistance (subsidies, APTC/CSR, small business tax credits) are protected under the law and will remain intact.
3. The rates for 2017 will not change.
For those of you enrolled through Covered California, Covered CA does not rely on federal funding, it is a self-sustainable state-run exchange.
In the weeks and months ahead, I will continue to keep you informed by sharing all important information as it comes through in 2017.
