Hello All,

As the year end nears it is time again for health insurance open enrollment.  If you’re a current client I will renewing your plan for your 2017.  Nothing for you to do. Enrolled through Covered CA? Nothing for you to do, except if you need to make income adjustments or change of address.  Please contact me with income changes or change of address for 2017.

If you have coverage through your employer, your company will let you know when open enrollment occurs. If you purchase individual coverage on the healthcare marketplaces, these are the dates you need to know:

Open enrollment for 2017 will begin on November 1, 2016, and will end on January 31, 2017. These dates are for both on and off-exchange plans (Covered CA is off-exchange).
Open enrollment for 2017 will begin on November 1, 2016, and will end on January 31, 2017. In most states, the deadline to enroll in a plan with a January 1, 2017 effective date will be December 15, 2016 (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Washington state all allow enrollments to be completed as late as December 23 and still have coverage effective January 1).

November 1, 2016 – Open enrollment begins.

January 30, 2017 – Last day to enroll for new coverage that begins on February 1, 2017, or make changes to existing coverage to take effect on February 1.

January 31, 2017 - This is the last day to enroll in new coverage or change coverage for 2017. If you do not enroll by this date, you may be required to pay a penalty to the government.

If you have questions about these dates, how to enroll in coverage or which plan is right for you and your family, please contact me at tad@tbpremier.com and I can further assist you.
