A New Year's Message From Tad

Hello customers, family,  friends, business partners and associates!  We're pleased to start the New Year with you!  We're excited about all the new opportunities for our clients in 2017.  For example, our new partnership with John Hancock and Apple.  Where clients get free Apple Series 2 watches with their new life insurance policies as well as annual discounts for staying active and healthy.  Stay tuned for that!  Also, the potential new options that lie ahead in the health insurance world with our new administration.

This year I resolve to continue to exceed client expectations with exceptional personalized service.  How? by expanding our agency support and increasing our technology platforms to make things easy and accessible for all.  Also, if you have any suggestions as to how I can make my service more valuable to you, I'd love to hear them.  Here's to keeping all your 2017 resolutions, please let me know if I can be of any help.  Thank you for all your support, referrals and continued business.  I look forward to speaking with you soon!  I wish you and yours a wealth of health and happiness in the New Year!

Last Call: ACA Enrollment Period Ends January 31, 2017

The window on enrollment for Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance plans is closing fast. And if you're considering purchasing a plan, it's time to act. The health care coverage you choose is one of the most important decisions you make in your life. And the open enrollment period for the ACA ends January 31, 2017. If you miss it, well, you miss it: You won't be able to buy ACA coverage for 2018 on your state's health care marketplace until late 2017.

In the meantime, you may find yourself facing fines for being uninsured: the penalty for not obtaining coverage through a qualified health plan is significant. The ACA penalty for 2017 remains at 2.5% of total household adjusted gross income. If, however, special circumstances occur such as a job loss, you may qualify for coverage of up to 60 days after the job loss. A note of caution: Health insurance premiums have increased on average about 25% in the State of CA for 2017. We can help you decide on which plan works best for you and your family.  Some people use their insurance plans quite a bit, others seem to really never use it at all.  This is important in helping select a plan that is affordable.  For those individuals and families that quality for tax subsidies through the State exchange (Covered CA) we can help with those enrollments as well, but time is running out!
